Note that the rights holder may be an individual, a group or company.

The date shows the year the version you used was released, even though previous versions may have been released in different years.

Computer Software

If you mention a program in your text you do need to include the version number of the software used.

You only need to provide a reference for specialized software, and standard software such as Microsoft Office do not need to be referenced.
