Law: Germany

The library guide for Cambridge University's Squire Law Library.

German print materials

Our German print collection is located on the third floor of the library starting in bookstack 43 and all have a classmark starting with TN.

We hold the journals Neue Juristische Wochenschrift, Monatsschrift fur Deutsches Recht, and Juristenzeitung. The main law reports series we stock in print are Entscheidungen des Bundesgerichtshofes in Zivilsachen and the Entscheidungen des Bundesvervassungsgerichts.

Our textbook collection includes recent editions of Foster's German Legal System and Laws, Zekoll and Reimann's Introduction to German Law, and the New German Law of Obligations by Zimmerman.

Index to Foreign Legal Periodicals

Foreign journals are included in HeinOnline and indexed within the Index to Foreign Legal Periodicals.

Comparative law

We also have an extensive comparative law print collection held on the third floor which will also be useful when researching other jurisdictions. The books and journals start in bay 26 and the classmarks start with the letter H.
