The Department of Veterinary Medicine is at the forefront of veterinary science and education and is a centre of excellence for teaching and research. The West Hub, based at West Cambridge on JJ Thompson Avenue, is open to everyone during its operating hours. All access doors have power assistance. Veterinary resources is located on the 3rd floor of the West Hub. The library is open to all as there is no restrictions on access, the general public is encouraged to use the building. There is a lift available from the ground floor.
The Hub has a variety of study spaces spread across the first and second floors of the building, including a range of comfortable booths and sofas, areas for group work and spaces designed for more focused individual study. There are a range of desk spaces at different heights located throughout the building. In addition, the building has a range of bookable rooms and pods.
The Veterinary Library is located within the West Hub , directly opposite the Veterinary Department.
Mehves Dignum provides academic liaison support for students and staff in Veterinary Medicine.
Kiva Varcan-Sonmez delivers library and information services to departmental members and supports the Academic Support Librarian in teaching information literacy skills.
