Introduction

Borrow a sewing machine

Unleash your creativity with our new sewing machine lending service! Whether you're tackling a project, mending clothes, or trying your hand at quilting, we’ve got you covered. The library has a Singer Heavy Duty 4411 Sewing Machine available for students, staff, and Fellows to borrow for 3 days at a time. 

To borrow the sewing machine, please bring your Cambridge University card to the Library Office and ask for the sewing machine. The sewing machine is available 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday and outside of those hours by prior arrangement. If you need to make an arrangement to borrow the sewing machine, please email: library@trinhall.cam.ac.uk

Please note, the machine comes with a carrying case and weighs about 15 pounds. You’ll also need to provide your own fabric, thread and other sewing essentials. Sewing books and patterns can be found in the General Interest collection on the Second Floor of the library at classmark: G.646
