Trinity Hall: Library Introduction: Student curation projects

An introduction to using the Jerwood Library

Shelf Expression: Curate, Discover, Inspire

The Student Curator project encourages students to work with library staff to broaden and enrich the book collection in particular around diversity and inclusion.

Our Student Curators bring their creativity, voice and experiences along with their curiosity and research skills to ‘curate’ displays  to share and educate the University community. They share digital lists of resources to ensure that the works remain easy to find and follow up, and also have the opportunity to develop our existing collections further through adding new materials.

We invite you to explore these curated collections, engage with the materials, and consider contributing to this ongoing effort to diversify our shelves. Together, we can create a library that truly represents and celebrates all the College community.

Get involved

Passion for your topic and a desire to share it with others are key to being a successful student curator. This project offers the opportunity to apply your research skills by exploring our existing collections and identifying new materials to enhance them. You’ll spend time searching for relevant content, ensuring a diverse and representative selection.

As a student curator, you will also have the chance to showcase your work through social media, blog posts, and curated displays within the library. This is a fantastic way to promote your chosen theme and engage others in meaningful discussions.

If you have any questions regarding the student curator project please contact the library at library@trinhall.cam.ac.uk
