International Student Support

The University of Cambridge has a dedicated team of International Student Advisers dedicated to supporting non-UK students across all Departments. The team is part of the International Student Office which sits within Student Operations and is based in the Student Services Centre.

The Office was set up to help current and prospective non-UK students in Cambridge, facilitate student mobility opportunities and administer some specific international funding awards.

All international students are encouraged to visit a familiarise with the International Students page for guidance on admission, immigration, orientation and studying at Cambridge. The page contains an International Student Guide which includes pre-arrival and travelling to the UK information.

International Students Campaign

The Student Union's International Students' Campaign represents the interests of this group within the University. They also run events, including mouth-watering international food festivals.

Student Visa information

Most non-UK students coming to study in the UK will need a Student visa. This includes EEA and Swiss students that have arrived in the UK from 1 January 2021. Your Student visa will allow you to stay in the UK for the whole of your course and comes with both privileges and restrictions.

For students who require a student visa for their studies at Cambridge, the section on Responsibilities on a student visa includes information for when you first arrive in the UKcollecting your BRP after entry and police registration.
