The University Information Service - or UIS - is your one stop shop for technical support, software advice and IT troubleshooting here at the University of Cambridge.  They provide University-wide information services for the University of Cambridge, working in conjunction with colleges, departments and other institutions within the university to provide a range of IT services.

There are two ways to contact the UIS.  For a problem with one of the UIS' IT services, or a straightforward request:

Specialised Support

You may find that your department has its own IT team, who manage some of the department specific research software and may be able to provide you with more tailored advice, such as what computer you might need and can be provided if doing computational research.

We advise that you contact your department or school as soon as possible, if required, in order to ascertain the levels of IT support and expertise they provide, as well as access more information on specialised or bespoke software.
