Academic Writing: Words, Texts and Ideas
Seminars and individual follow-up sessions are organised during Lent term each year to support postgraduate students with their academic writing skills.
These are provided by David Abbott, a qualified teacher and former lecturer, who has published in his field and can assist students within any academic discipline. If you are trying to get to grips with academic writing, are overwhelmed by how much you have to write, or are unsure about the written rules of academic style, these sessions are for you.
David gives two seminars (the second a repeat of the first). He then offers 25-minute 1:1 sessions to work on a specific piece of academic writing that you are working on. Slots can be booked via Moodle when advertised.
If you would like further information about these events, please contact the Senior Postgraduate Administrator.
To find out about the full Postgraduate Development Programme, more details are on JNET.
