Finding and Using Resources

Cambridge Libraries

In this section of CamGuides we'll cover some of the different types of resources available to you through the university's library system . We'll identify some of the principal catalogues and search engines you will use, and where to find subject-specific resources, databases and other sources of information relevant to your research and interests. We will guide you to systems and courses available to you regarding how to access these resources, as well as to some of the offices and resources that exist to help you manage your research data

While in this section we will be talking about university resources and libraries broadly, there are time during your PhD that you will require more specialised knowledge. You can find out more information about specific libraries in the Libraries Directory and training sessions from across the libraries can be found in the Library Skills Catalogue in Moodle (please self-enrol to view the catalogue).
