We have a duty under the Equality Act 2010 to provide equal access to our services and resources (including online content) for all our users. For disabled users, this has generally been achieved by making reasonable adjustments to standard services.
The University's Code of Practice: Access and Inclusion for Disabled Students 2021-22 shifts the emphasis towards anticipating needs and building in accessibility and inclusivity to our general practice.
It must be a key priority to try to ensure that all potential users can access and use our LibGuides. You should consider this while developing, editing and reviewing your LibGuide.
Some aspects of LibGuides are controlled by Springshare and CUL Digital Services. However, choices about everything from use of images to link text are within editors' control and can make a big difference to the accessibility of your guide.
