Feedback
Each term, we set up a feedback board on the second floor landing, for library users to write anonymous feedback. You are also welcome to email the library or speak to staff at the reception about any suggestions you have.
Here are some of the suggestions that have been submitted in the past, and the actions we've taken to make them happen:
Library spaces:
- Maintenance requests (such as slamming doors, issues with plug sockets or lights, the gap in the second floor toilet door): these have been raised with the Maintenance team and have been addressed.
- The trial period with a Quiet Pod which got great feedback so our own Pod is now available on the third floor.
Collections:
- Suggestions to purchase more books for MML (Russian) and Maths and: we have purchased more books in these subjects from the course reading lists.
- Board games: we have added board games to our collection, including recommendations from the Emma Board Game Society.
Other services:
- Docking stations with second screens were suggested: We have added two, on the first and second floor
- Stationery: We have added more stationery to the desk next to the printer in the foyer.
- More difficult sudokus and chess puzzles: We have expanded the range of sudokus and added reusable chess puzzles to the board games corner.
- Hot drinks: While we can't allow users to bring in their own hot drinks, we have started to offer weekly Tea@3 on Wednesdays in term time, where you can come down to the library entrance for hot drinks, biscuits, and a chat with your fellow library dwellers.
