Emmanuel College Library: Borrowing books

Undergraduate students can borrow up to 10 books at a time for a period of 14 days, and postgraduates can borrow them for 28 days. A maximum of 2 only can be borrowed from the Short Loan Collection. You can borrow books using the self-service machine in the Library Reception. You will need your University card to borrow books, as well as to open the Library door.

Your University card needs to be activated first before you can start borrowing. If this has not been done during your library induction, you can come to the reception desk on any weekday between 9am and 5pm to have it activated.

You can also borrow DVDs, DVD drives (with a USB connection), board and card games, and jigsaw puzzles!

If you find that you can't borrow on the self-service machine, and the reception is closed, please fill in a Manual Loan form before leaving with your book. Paper forms are next to the self-service machine, or you can fill it in online here: Manual Loan form.
