Education Library: Literature Searching

How the Library Team can help you

The Library Team are skilled in using the bibliographic databases and are happy to help current Education staff and students to plan and construct literature searches. We can:

  • help to identify key terms and concepts to include in your search
  • provide guidance on maximising the use of databases and their specialised features
  • offer support in conducting a systematic literature search

Current Education staff & students can book a 1:1 research skills session with a member of the Library Team via the icon on the Library Moodle Site or they can email us their questions: library@educ.cam.ac.uk

Other support

Need a re-cap on how to use the thesaurus function in EBSCO databases (BEI, ERIC, PsycInfo)?
Check out the video and PDF guide below.

(both the PDF and the video use the British Education Index as an example but the principles of searching are the same regardless of which database you use)
