The printed books of the Library Science Collection are housed in the Commonwealth Room on the third floor of the University Library. There is ample seating near the collection and a selection of promotional material for relevant courses and institutions are also kept locally.
The collection is recognisable by its dedicated classmark of either 9851 or 9852 and all items can be borrowed and taken out of the Commonwealth Room.
Due to the University Library's status as a Legal Deposit Library, the Library Science Collection can expect to receive the majority of relevant books published in the United Kingdom. We also have an extensive collection of material in foreign languages and a broad range of material covering the whole subject area. The Library Science Collection has all the relevant textbooks necessary for studying a related course and continues to grow as new books are published.
All new material received by the collection is posted onto our dedicated Pinterest page.
