The Library Science Collection holds over 2,000 print books covering all areas of librarianship and information sciences. Furthermore, there is an extensive collection of printed journals that give insight into the future of librarianship and the practices of the past. While the collection continues to grow with new acquisitions, there is also an impressive historical collection that provides a broad coverage of the subject area.
The Library Science Collection also has up-to-date copies of prospectuses for all major institutions that teach library and information science related courses in the UK. Also, printed promotional material can be found alongside the classification scheme for the collection. Use of this material is restricted to the Commonwealth Room.
