Library silent spaceSilent Space

The Silent Space is great for focused study in a quiet atmosphere.

  • The majority of the book collection


The North RoomThe North Room

The North Room is a flexible, needs-driven space; during exam term it serves as extra silent space while at other times it can be booked for group meetings, group study space, presentations etc.

Bookings can be made from 9am-5pm Monday to Friday. Please note we are unable to take bookings in the Easter Term and only members of the Department can book the North Room. For other room bookings in the Department of Engineering please visit the Room Booking system.

  • AV presentation equipment that can be used to work on presentations or to screen cast for group work
  • Easy to move furniture that can be reconfigured to suit your needs
  • Wall mounted white boards
