Engineering Library: About the space

Information about the Department of Engineering Library, including information for researchers

Where we are

The Library Space

The Engineering Library is open to staff and students of the Department of Engineering using our booking system.

If you have been to the library before you will notice it is a little different, we have removed some things and added in others. Unfortunately, due to the current situation we are unable to operate as a buzzing student hub for the Department.

Please follow all guidelines advertised in the library space to help protect yourself and all other users.

All members of the department can book a study space using our Book a Seat service, or can come in to borrow books using our Browse and Borrow service. For more details, please see our Services page.

To enter the library, you will need to book these services 24 hours in advance.

Please use a face covering at all times when in common areas on Department premises. This includes the library, as well as cycle racks, entrances, corridors and toilets, unless you have a medical exemption. The face covering needs to cover the mouth and nose.

The Engineering Library team are offering an online information service. You can reach us by email, chat to us on Librarian Live Chat (left), or book a 1:1 supervision or meeting with a member of the team.
