You can book a slot to find and borrow books or DVDs. You can borrow up to 20 books, so you may want to plan your visit carefully. Remember that the iDiscover computers will be switched off, so you'll have to make sure you know in advance what books you need and what the classmarks are. Don't forget to bring your university card to borrow things.
These browse and borrow sessions last for 30 minutes, and they're staggered throughout the day. You don't have to book far in advance - if a space is available you'll be able to book and come straight into the library. We've made our self-service machines virtually touchless and will provide a limited desk service. If you wish to borrow a book, please use the left hand terminal on the ground floor.
You can use these sessions to return books or DVDs too. Please use the right hand terminal on the ground floor to return any books or DVDs you're finished with. Once you have returned your items, place them on the trolley next to the terminal. You can also return books to one of the dropboxes on the Sidgwick site: there's one just outside the EFL, and one by Lady Mitchell Hall.
If you've booked a study space, you don't need to book an additional browse and borrow slot.
Unless you have a medical exemption, you will be expected to wear a face covering while you're in the library.
