Workspace, from the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG), is the financial data and analytics platform formerly known as Refinitiv Eikon.
The platform incorporates Datastream - a financial dataset containing current and historical time-series data on stocks, indices, bonds, funds, futures, options, interest rates, commodities, currencies and economic indicators. It also comes with an Excel add-in to facilitate data export.
For most practical purposes Workspace offers very similar data and analytical tools to those provided by the Bloomberg terminal.
Workspace can be accessed on one dedicated terminal within the Marshall Library. Remote access is not available.
Workspace is licensed to the Marshall Library under an academic subscription, and may be used only for non-commercial purposes.
Please use the Marshall Library Booking Form to book a session on the library terminal. Scroll to the bottom of the form to see a calendar indicating existing bookings.
You can only use the terminal during library opening hours – please don’t attempt to book outside these times. You will receive an email from library staff when your booking has been confirmed.
On arrival for your session, please report to the issue desk. Each time you use the terminal, library staff will need to log in to provide you with access.
Please ensure that you log out at the end of your session and notify library staff that you have finished.
