Referencing style

The HSPS Faculty advises Undergraduate and MPhil students in Sociology and Politics to choose any referencing style, but to ensure that they apply only one style throughout their written work.  Please see referencing guidelines for the Harvard Referencing System below, along with resources to help cite materials correctly.

Referencing advice for Politics & Sociology students

Try using "Cite them right online" for advice on how to cite properly (includes traditional print materials as well as webpages, tweets etc.) 

We have print material available to borrow at the library that can help you with referencing, e.g.:
